Rationale
This project began when I signed up to create a W letter form for an on-campus type exhibition named “The Ligature Show” ran by our Type Club. After sketching and transferring the form to a digital format I decided to print the final using the Risograph machine on campus. Only being a single letter form printed using a technique that I felt comfortable in it didn’t seem that it deserved a proper behance. With this in mind having the opportunity to do a “mini-project” at in the final weeks of the spring semester I decided to tackle a format that I had no prior experience with, 3D printing, and what better thing to transfer into the 3D then a previously created letterform.
