This is a four-page cookbook spread that is all of my own material. From the writing and recipe to the layout and photography. I wanted to use a bold, elongated sans serif typeface for the title and the headers and I turned them on the side because I wanted the height to compliment the natural height of the typeface. I sampled the yellow from the picture of the finished meal on the page adjacent to the title. I wanted the geometric nature of the typeface to be complimented by a hand done element, on the ingredients page I chose to include hand written words laying out what the ingredients are.
