Palmistry Bowl.
Large shallow dish with a square base. This piece was press moulded using White Earthernware clay. The design featured are the dominant lines featured on my left hand. After extensive research into Palmistry and a stint as a palm reader, I really wanted to do something with the predominant lines of the hand and explore the unique quality of these lines as no two peoples hands are the same it makes this piece a very personal one. Through viewing this piece any one with any experience in Palmistry can see how long my life line is, my love line, how many children I will have and how healthy I am. This I believe makes this a very unique one off piece.
The lines are indented into the clay and coloured using a Cobalt Blue underglaze and finished with a clear matt Glaze.
