Renaissance-Style Lettering and Illustration

This illustration was created as a personal project in vector-based lettering and was inspired by manual book illuminations from the Renaissance and the work of Jessica Hische. I wanted to work with broken lettering and combine it with another lettering with very soft characteristics and combine both variants by weight and proportions.

Diese Illustration entstand als persönliches Projekt in vektorbasiertem Lettering und wurde durch händische Buchilluminationen der Renaissance sowie der Arbeit von Jessica Hische inspiriert. Dabei wollte ich mit gebrochener Schrift arbeiten und diese mit einer weiteren Schrift mit sehr weichen Charakteristika kombinieren und dabei beide Varianten durch Gewicht und Proportionen verbinden.
