MAI - Museu de Arte Indígena
(Museum of Indigenous Art)
Work done during the second year of college (UP - 2017)
The museum board requested that uniforms be created for team members who could also be sold at the convenience store.
Initially, a visit was made to the museum, which has a collection from all over the country. It was realized that each tribe has its own culture, customs, traditions and history.
It was decided that it would be better not to mix the tribes as it could be considered an offense to one of them.
The project proposal was organized in a way that would change uniforms on a seasonal basis. For the first line it was used the reference of the Asurini tribe, located in the Xingu park. The tribe is characterized by body paintings that are mostly black and white, formed by asymmetrical lines.
