Background
People living in West African Guinea has to live with the same amount of electricity
that Americans consume for three days for a year.
Due to this serious power shortage, 90% of population has to stop their day right after the sunset.
Children here, gather to airports where they can find light to study.
However, there are so many dangers on their way to the airport.
They not only have to walk for a long distance and also there are great dangers such as robbery, murder and rape.
Is there a way children to study safely at night?
How to use
Lampen is a pen which is able to generate electricity by itself.
It can be charged and emit light by applying electromagnetic induction.
1 minute of shaking enables the pen to glow for 1 hour.
Principle of Self electricity-generating
It is a process where a conductor placed in a changing magnetic field
causes the production of a voltage across the conductor.
This process of electromagnetic induction, in turn, causes an electrical current.
Design
It can be used as a stand lamp using the holder of a lampen or as a flashlight.
Lampen is
designed to protect these children and to study safely.
