The goal for this project was to understand the process of package design in order to redesign an existing box for food packaging. Each step in this process helped me develop my skills in different areas of design, as well as specific programs. We began by examining the existing package and sketching concepts for a new design. Next, we scanned the flattened package and created a template in InDesign, upon which we would apply our new design. Once we had designed our new package using Illustrator, we developed a 3D model of the new design in order to create a realistic rendering of the final product. The following images provide graphical insight into this process and how the final product was produced as a result.
