OBJECTIVE
There was a prerequisite to to this project, was to conduct an independent research in Interior Design Research course. This course class was demanding, and expectations and standards were high. The objective was to learn steps for completion of the schematic design phase in a typical interior design project, Investigate building reuse and evaluate materials, systems, construction techniques, spatial organization, component design, bubble/block diagrams, criteria matrix, showing competencies in space planning, lighting plan, and specifications for materials and furniture. Become acquainted with reading and interpreting working drawings, plumbing, heating, electrical and lighting plans, fire detection, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, construct basic architectural working drawings, including floor plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and custom design furniture; one was required and I completed three.
