A part of the Tobacco Shop poem by Fernando Pessoa is the center of this Visual Culture research in the form of a typography book. The basis for it was a type made from photos taken around Lisbon, of, mostly, parts of typical balcony fences or other metal shapes, that resembled letters and punctuation marks. Those were then cut and transformed into 2D shapes, making an original font that emphasizes more the context of the city that is in the core of the most of Pessoa's works. The overall style gives a tribute to futurism and its expressivity of layout and experimentation with newly created fonts, as Pessoa himself found influence in this movement.
