Caminhos was born when we had to write a small text under de motto of Routine, which resulted in a manifesto. From there we had to create a physical object and a digital object that would convey this manifesto.
Our idea came from the paths that we draw daily, almost without realizing it, that lead our steps. We wanted to bring it to this work and through various sketches, we arrive at a hypothesis that we could build with paths that intersect to form the word 'ROUTINE'.
We planned everything in InDesign and then went to work.
We chose everything with the basis that it had something to do with routine, and the most familiar things to people, like blue and Helvetica (for the texts).
The digital work was supost to be an interactive website where people could read the texts and contribute with their own. Visitors would be able to click in the buttons in order to creat paths that would make the word ROTINA clear.
With this work, we mainly wanted to get people attention to the presence of routine in our shoes, our choices and our paths.
It has 1,5mx0,9m and we used about 160 nails.
