Raudonos Plytos Portable Bar

"Raudonos Plytos“ (eng. Red Bricks) is a craft beer brand, the part of "Švyturys – Utenos alus Calsberg group” based in Klaipėda, Lithuania. They are producing unexpected and interesting types of beer in their old brewery.

"Raudonos Plytos” is actively participating in various indoor and outdoor events - you could see them in fintech conference during the day and meet at the music festival by night. For this purpose, we were approached to design a portable bar which can be easily transported and assembled without any special tools and skills.

Besides being portable, the bar had to be a versatile to accommodate all the venue limitations and requirements. We developed a modular system which allows this bar to be assembled in 5 different ways.

“Raudonos Plytos” is seen as punk rockers because of their experimental approach with its limited edition batches and disruption of the craft beer scene in Lithuania. These notions had to be addressed with simple and energetic design which appeals to young and hip audience. We aimed for rugged and raw DIY look – it had to feel like it was made in a shed by the bartender. We drew inspiration from old worn out shipping containers, their industrial look was complimented by raw wood, pipes and some bricks.

Majority of the design features are functional too! Big wheels are for easy transportation and side handles help to push and pull the portable bar. The oversized pipe functions as lighting, a structure on the back serves as a shelve, a price board and it connects the fridges.

We checked all the right boxes – this bad boy is light, portable and easy to use in many different ways.
