Radical Skateboarding:
I have designed a company brand which is related to an interest of mine, Skateboarding. As an age-old pass time which has grown into one of the largest worldide sub-cultures, the number of companies dedicated to supplying the necessary goods has grown. Companies such as Nike produce shoes and clothing based solely on skateboarding, while companies such as Plan B, Element and Girl manufacture decks and skateboard parts. While researching during my design process, I decided that my company should feature both skateboard and clothing designs to please a maximum audience.
Design Brief:
Company Name: Radical Skateboarding
Job Description: A skateboarding company which materialises and provides clothing and skateboarding products on a global scale.
Target Audience: Males aged 14-24, or anyone interested in skateboarding/extreme sports.
Message: 100 percent Skateboarding.
Tone: Simple designs that appeal to the target audience, incorporating inspiration from various outlets such as the music industry.

Logo Design:
When designing the logo for my brand, I had to ensure that the design would work in various different conditions. Both colour and black on white options had to be designed to allow a wider range of possibilities in future advertisements or products which may feature the logo. The logo also had to be easily identified no matter of it's size, whether it be large, as in the header of the website designs, or small, as in the board designs.
Brochure Design:
This six sided brouchure is a way of presenting further details about the company through typography and product designs. In terms of product design, I focused on creating simple designs which would appeal to skateboarders, focusing more on comfort than looks. I also took influence of social media while designing the contact page, having both Twitter and Facebook details regarding the company.
Website:
The website design is focused around multimedia presentation to a high extent, meaning additional designs are featured all around the website, such as the three images on the homepage. I designed a video player to be used on the site, allowing users to watch clips from the company. An addition shop page was designed, showing further deck designs and advertisements.
