Rugrats
The brief set was to pick a show from the entertainment channel Nickelodeon, and creating a way for it to appeal to today's audience.

Why Rugrats?
Other than Spongebob Squarepants, Rugrats was one of it's other famous animations. Several ideas were considered on how to approach this goal, such as a reboot of the television series, or a continuation of the original one; or go modern and create an app/game for all smartphone devices, but the latter may be short-lived.

The reboot idea was strongly considered as it plays on nostalgia, however Rugrats did have a spinoff called 'All Grown Up', however that moved away from the original spirit of the animation. I did some research on the popularity of the first animation, surprisingly enough people did make Facebook pages and petitions were signed up to bring the show back; this states that the fanbase still exists.

I looked at the downside of rebooting the series, such as not having the same impact it once did. However series like 'TMNT' has found success in its' reboot, also creating CGI version of the animation made not be all that effective, since a lot of companies go into that route as a way to modernize the show.

I also thought that producing a theatrical film would take too long and be too costly. So maybe creating a television special, such as an anniversary special or film as they can breathe new life into the show. When this project started, it was approaching the 25th year since the shows inception, the revival of the franchise would have made it special.

Below are some potential teaser posters for the anniversary special. Being teasers, I tried not to reveal too much like showing their faces. Posters were shown to a crowd of people, and they all seem to know what show the posters were related to, which is a good sign as people can recognize the show to an extent without knowing too much.
