nature through time

The noise of the moment scoffs at the music of the eternal". As a part of an assignment, I was supposed to put my understanding of the above quote in any form of a material. I chose to work with charcoal, ink and acrylic as painting agents and text as the medium, similar to how I use paints. While working on it, i realized the importance of language and text which comes with different contexts, what it meant when it was put on to a sheet of paper was something that i further explored while working on it.

the artwork contains cut outs from my music notebook, along with pieces of masking tape which i has used throughout the understanding of my experience.
Taking the same idea, i applied this understanding onto a project that i was currently involved in. The project aimed at finding my personal relationship with the nature therefore, i visited several sites which to me were close to 'nature'. These artworks are a representation of my experiences in these sites. This one particularly looks at the concept of 'Beauty' in Nature.
One of the sites i visited, was a familiar space, where my experience was close to me, hence i felt it was close to my idea of 'nature'
This particular piece is a compilation of my notes as well as notes from a book by Ruskin Bond called ' Notes from the Hills'.
reflection on the idea of 'love for nature'
Understanding time and the ecosystem of the site
At one of the sites, which was merely a forest, I wanted to understand time through sleeping, I realized that when you wake up, you lose the perception of time, and therefore time becomes circular and no renewable. This particular  artwork combines the understanding of both time and sleep.
