Instinct and Self

These pieces are meant to reference the world, the self, perception, and institutions.

Recently I've realized that I had been publishing my artistic pieces in a fashion that was not for the she of the art itself but for fame and recognition. I feel like I have been presenting a false image to the world, because that is what the world thrives on; false images. (Not to say that everyone sees this as I feel I do, people tend to see what they want, what they fear.)

I'm am creating this page as a outlet of my mind, that it should and will be populated by thoughts, images, and visions which satisfy this creative instinct that I have.

"Is it your reputation that is bothering you? But look at how soon we're all forgotten. The abyss of endless time that swallows all. The emptiness of those applauding hands." - Marcus A.

I recently saw a video that was posted to YouTube, it unvieled the addictive habits associated with Insatgram's platform. How it really isn't entertainment, it's pure addiction. That one like, that one follow, pushes you to publish content that others want. Not what you want. That you will be penalized for taking care of yourself, telling the truth, and taking part in a real community where art reflects true people intead of false images.

I'm not here to convince you to drop your social media habit, for we are human and designed to be part of a community. I'm just tired of being part of a community that is addicted to false perceptions, bolstering their reputation when it really isn't very important, and any other grandiose personality that come along with that sort of behavior.

Social media is disgusting, back in 2015 I started looking up from my phone, and I have been witnessing the same behavior for the past 5 years, everyone's head drooped bent over their screens taking in their silly memes and chatting about how bad some people are.  It's infuriating to see this decline in our society. That it's so difficult to chat someone up on the streets because their always plugged in.

I don't know if the majority will ever notice, but I no longer want to contribute to the degregation of society any longer.
