It was one of those days...Aim for the meteor, land on the stars kind of situation. With an intention to get the Perseids meteor shower, I drove all the way into the boonies but had no luck spotting the meteors.
However, I could see something that is 27,000 light years away. The Galactic Center of the Milky Way. Somewhere up there is a supermassive black hole and another world looking down on us. It is a beautiful world.

After 7 hours of shoot session at the Dubai Film Festival, I was driving back home thinking it would be such a waste to miss out on the meteor shower. It was already 9:30 PM and I was exhausted. But then, it is one of the most beautiful meteor showers ever!
So presenting the Geminid meteor shower. Drove down to Razeen area of Abu Dhabi away from all the noise and lights. Found this beautiful stretch of landscape in the middle of nowhere
Temperatures dropped to 10 degrees C. Passing clouds were a concern but it ended up making the scene beautiful. Since it was a spontaneous plan, I really did not carry any blankets or warm food. Just one jacket. I laid my car cover on the cold desert sand, set the camera and just got lost looking at the sky.
