Composite Electric Guitar
Carbon fibre gives the opportunity to create an instrument that is impervious to warping, moving and expanding and it’s high strength to weight ratio enables a slim, streamlined form. This allows unprecedented ergonomics, fret access and unique hollow, single piece neck and body.
This research project deliverable was a full scale, accurate two-piece carbon fibre electric guitar body as a proof of concept, including all custom moulds and jigs required to reproduce the form.
