THE MTV BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
Bluegrass music is considered a form of American roots music with its own roots in English, Irish and Scottish traditional music.
Using elements of nature such as mountains, trees, autumn leaves, birds and the sunset; were the chosen ways to create this conceptual art for this festival held in Vancouver and sponsored by MTV. The sun, as a "major star", is represented in the form of a banjo, which is one of the most prominent instruments in the Bluegrass style.

The location chosen for the event is a space called The Brockton Oval, a grass playing field surrounded by a running track with a 2000 to 3000 seat capacity located in Stanley Park.
Stanley Park is Vancouver's oldest and most traditional park, recently voted the best in the world, creating a link between the roots of the city and the musical roots that this style connects.

Summer would be the best season to host such an event. Vancouver is very sunny and the average temperatures are between 25º and 30º in this season. Because of this, an example of promotional material is what we call Fan Pick. A guitar pick shaped leaflet, used as a fan to refresh fans.
Delivered to different parts of the city's parks and beaches, it's a great relief from the high temperatures, keeping information about the festival longer in people's hands.
