Manifestos

I designed eight different political manifestos. I put the emphasis on using different materials to communicate the ideas of the »party of diversity«.
Manifest for Justice and Law

A Mixture of metal (the firmness of law) and a white background (signifying innocence) was used in for this manifest. 701 holes were lasercut into the first layer of acrylic glass. Each hole has a nail in it with the nail head on the inside of the layer of acrylic glass. This allows them to move to a certain extent. While the book is laying on its back the nails reveal the underlying »V«. Rotating the cover downwards makes all nails come out until their heads reach the inside of the acrylic glass layer.
Manifest for Art and Culture

The manifest for art and culture has a cover which uses the moiré effect. New forms arise from the superposition of two grids. If the motif on the rotatable disc in the middle is aligned vertically, you can see the logo of the party in black. If you turn this disc by 180 °, the logo disappears completely.
Manifest for Finances and Tax

Here, the concept of liquidity in the context of money was picked up and made the topic for this liquid cover. In a container made of Plexiglas there are two liquids with different density (paraffin oil and water). The yellow-colored paraffin oil floats on the heavier dark blue colored water. The logo of the party was also cut from Plexiglas and placed in the middle of the container, where it displaces the liquids. When shaking or moving the manifest, the liquids mix briefly to then separate again. In this process, they leave interesting shapes.
Manifest for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The cover of the manifest for foreign affairs and Europe is versatile. Seven corners can be folded towards the middle or outward. When all are folded inwards, the logo of the party can be seen on a white background. If all the corners are folded outwards, you can see the colors of the party underneath. On the one hand, this cover stands for the diversity of countries and their cultures. On the other hand, for the necessary cohesion to overcome future challenges together.
Manifest for Economics

The manifest for economy comes with a cover in grayscale. Receipts made of thermal paper are the background. These are attached to the cover in various orientations to express new directions in thinking about economy. The logo of the party is printed on the background with heat, taking advantage of the heat-sensitive properties of the thermal paper.
Manifest for Innovation and Technology

The manifest for innovation and technology signifies the future. The advancement of technology is one of the most important components in the field of science to create progress. Thus, this cover carries a computer board in the form of the logo of the party. The background is made of copper, an important raw material in the electronics industry. Waves in the copper give it more than one dimension to symbolize the complexity of science.
Manifest for Social Issues and Education

The cover of the manifest for social issues and education is also haptically interesting. Both materials used (faux fur and felt) invite you to touch and feel it. The gray, soft coat stands for social security. The red logo of the party in the middle signifies children and adolescents as the core of society.
Manifest for Environment
and Climate Change

Organic materials were used on the manifest for environment and climate change. The logo of the party made of limewood is enhanced by flowing watercolors. Topics covered by this cover are sustainability in the form of renewable raw materials (wood) and renewable energies (water).
