The Creativity Virus

Last year we were invited by Katja Tschimmel (Mindshake) to think about creativity and to create an original piece of work around this theme. At first I thought I would have to deconstruct the meaning of this word, gather a set of data or inspirations that would somehow show me what creativity is and reveal mine. I ended up sticking to my work space and found in a simple climbing plant the objectification of something that is born of something, grows continuously, transforms and embraces others. Through drawing I let its representation emerge and converted it into a stencil handprinting fabric project. It resulted in a four meter piece that curls up over itself revealing itself and acquiring a different color tone.
