Three years ago, INSIGNE was born during a graphic design course by Mauro Bubbico at the MA in Communication and Design of Publishing at the ISIA University in Urbino. The project was made to catalog the signs (especially the artisan ones) of Italian cities interviewing also the artisans who made them (when was possible) and trying to offer their contribution to their cities. This project allows people to get to know a small (but important) part of the city. Lastly, Insigne proposes itself as an open observation path, as well as an invitation to contemporary designers to reflect on the role of signs and the possibility that they constitute valid design ideas.

The city documented in this third edition of Insigne is Treviso (TV), is a historical small city (not too far from Venice) in the Veneto region of northern Italy.
