How does Super Hair Removal IPL work?

The SHR IPL lasers use a vast amount of heat to destroy the hair follicles and ensure permanent removal. The hair follicles are gently heated through the stem cells and melanin, producing a warm tingling sensation, often described by clients as no more than a soft massage. In comparison to dated laser and IPL methods, our new technology uses the least amount of power in shots, eliminating any risk of pain during lasering. Transmission gel is applied to the area you desire and the SHR IPL laser glides along softly in motion working its laser magic. Each laser hair removal treatment lasts between 20-60 minutes depending on the size of the desired area.

Results

We recommend 6-8 treatments with 4-week intervals for the best results. These intervals ensure that we are able to target the laser hair removal at the right time, during the anagen (active hair growth) stage, throughout the natural re-growth cycle. Depending on how you as an individual react to the treatment, the 4-week intervals may be extended to 6+ week intervals as the re-growth cycle begins to slow.

It is common for a small minority of clients to need a touch up at least 2 years from the initial treatment, although growing hair that has been treated with SHR IPL should not grow back. Once a hair follicle is damaged, it cannot grow hair, however, hair follicles that were not in the active growth phase will need to be treated.
