Do grão à barra, a Rubato é uma fábrica, laboratório e escola brasileira de chocolate. Sua essência parte da vontade de exploração, da vivência com o processo. O produto é resultado da manufatura cuidadosa e justa com os fornecedores, ingredientes e meio ambiente.
From bean to bar, Rubato is a brazilian factory, laboratory and chocolate school that has in its core the inherited will of exploration, as the experience along the process. The product is a result of careful, fair-trade manufacturing processes, respecting suppliers, ingredients and environment.
A relação entre os elementos e o confeiteiro existe a partir do desenvolvimento técnico junto à imaginação. A poética da criação se expressa no prazer do artifício, por meio da liberdade de explorar os elementos e criar o novo.
Para expressar seu processo criativo inquieto, poético e multidisciplinar, projetamos um sistema visual baseado na equivalência de significados entre ingredientes, sons, palavras e grafismos. Todos esses enraizados em antigos discos, em elementos da cultura brasileira e, claro, na mistura variada de ingredientes locais com o cacau.
The relationship between elements and the confectioner exists through practice, technical development with the imagination. By the pleasure of artifice it creates and expresses the maker poetics, producing the new based on the open exploration of the elements.
In order to express their restless, poetic and multidisciplinary creative process, we've designed a visual system based on the equivalence of meaning between ingredients, sounds, words and graphics, all of which are rooted in old records, brazilian culture of everyday life and of course, the varied mix of local ingredients with cocoa.
A palavra rubato tem origem em um termo italiano, 'rubare', algo próximo a roubar, — na música, significa uma variação rítmica pelo furto do tempo, um estilo de improviso usado no jazz que permite uma conexão poética entre o autor e a obra.
A equivalência de significados busca referências no cotidiano desses intérpretes e no espaço geográfico — sistema de objetos e ações — que permeiam a produção da fábrica, desde a origem dos ingredientes, nos biomas brasileiros, até o balcão.
Rubato means "to rob" — Italian rubare being that in music, it means a rhythmic variation, a subtle manipulation that deviates the strict underlying rhythm, born from an improvisation style used in jazz that allows a poetic connection between the author and the work.
The meanings equivalence seeks references in the daily life of these interpreters and the geographical space — system of objects and actions — that permeate the factory production, from the brazilian biomes to the counter.
