Hello! Network TV Promo

3D Animation & Motion Graphics
Professor: Anson Call
3D animated motion graphic assignment for which we were asked to create a TV promo for a fictional television channel (like the ones that are played during commercial breaks). For my video, I conceptualized a language education channel. The goal of the station, titled the "Hello! Network," is to help people learn new languages and experience other cultures from around the world. Along with language education programming, the channel airs international television shows and news reports to help people learn by immersion.

In the promo, the video shows the word for "Hello!" in Spanish, Arabic, Russian, French and Mandarin (in that order) to go along with the name of the channel. I chose bright, fun colors to give the impression that language learning is fun and that learning about the world is enjoyable.

Modeling and animation was done using Cinema 4D R13. Post-production was done with Adobe After Effects CS5. I made the music track using Apple Garageband.
This video had the honor of being displayed at the 2012 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C.
