This selected work was featured in the Young Masters Exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art in early 2013, my artist's statement is below. 

To study the development of art you cannot look past religious influence. I wanted to show commonalities by mixing different elements of various ideologies. The Egyptian scarab is paired with the Virgin Mary's symbolic blue robe while resting in a milagro-like shrine surrounded by holy written works from around the world. I balanced unity and variety to create one whole and cohesive artwork.
