African-American Posters

Posters designed for the African-American Network at Dish

These posters were inspired by the African-American Legacy. A legacy driven by love.
I spotlighted different figures who made history through their messages and actions.
Starting with important figures such as Marthin Luther King, a man of honor and change.
He taught us that everything is possible through love.

The passage of time has not diminished the lessons these leaders put forth. If anything, their teaching and legacy is more important then ever in the present and going into the future. With that in mind, I wanted to represent this concept visually, a mix of the past, present and future. With vivid textures and bold colors, I expressed the cutting edge design of the present and future, blended with vintage black and white photographs to represent the leaders born to the past.

These posters were placed enterprise wide at Dish Network to generate interest in the African-American Network.  They were meant to invoke the legacy of African-American leaders who made history. Their design and composition invited employees to take time out of their busy day to appreciate a piece of art and enjoy an inspiring quote.
