Vlogumentary | Documenting life moments, Vlog style

Vlogumentary: A documentary that is created in the same manner as a vlog or by combining several vlogs together.
Sounds stupid, I know but...

I shoot a lot of random videos (like most millennials) for the sake of documenting some of the best moments of my life. And then I try to piece them together to try to tell a story. Some work, some don't. The point is, appreciating the people in my life while they're still around, coz you know 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. This is my own little way of thanking them.

Peace

A small video dedicated to a very special human being. It's difficult to capture a phase of life, or the entirety of a person in a portrait.
But one can try.

Much of my Holi this year was a blur thanks to the Bhaang you see in the video, but thankfully most of the B-roll was shot before the Bhaang started working it's magic. I still feel guilty about all the water that was wasted, but atleast I got a bunch of great shots and this video was the outcome of that, so I guess i feel a little less guilty now.

Always This Late - A personal memoir dedicated to some very special people

After a 3 hour long conversation about life, tech, colonizing Mars & so much more (and under the influence of some weed and alcohol) the greatest tech entrepreneur of our generation concluded – ‘This may sound corny but… Love is the answer.’ – Elon Musk

Elon is someone who has launched a seemingly impossible mission to colonize Mars. He’s the CEO of a company that makes self-driving cars and is single-handedly revolutionizing the renewable energy sector. And THIS guy, a pioneer in the tech world and probably a real-life Iron Man in a drunk+stoned state still claims ‘love is the answer’. That has got to mean something right?

‘Always This Late’ as the name goes, is literally a video I have been sitting on for quite some time. Could’ve finished it sooner but it always felt incomplete so I could never finish it. This has been happening since 2015, I've been trying to make a Part 2 of the video you've already seen. But finally, 5 years and many memories later, I feel it’s high time to put this out there. Better late than never right? Here’s to a fucked up 2020. Here’s (at the risk of sounding corny) to LOVE. To friends who became family. Here’s to my Real OGs. You know who you are.

PS: This changes nothing. I'll still take weeks to get back to you on text...

Millennial Cuts a papaya for lunch and makes a big deal out of it (Random videos from my everyday life) I wanted to make something new, and make sure I FINISH it so that I can get back into the practice of regularly churning out content without obsessing over quality. And as a mark of my commitment to imperfection, I will not fix the 'N' in the thumbnail.

I gave my bike (and myself) some rest and decided to commute around in true Mumbaikar fashion, via local trains, metros and rickshaws. This video was shot and edited in a span of 6 hours. As much as I detest commuting by trains, it's always an overwhelming experience. Every single time.

Shot and edited in Samsung S8.

A very special video for a very close friend. We still consider our relationship status 'complicated' but regardless, I had a fun year spending time with this one.

Dedicated to this group of crazy individuals, who like addressing themselves as SIMCians, and with whom I've had the honour to stick around and capture their beautifully outrageous personalities on camera. Apologies to the ones who we have missed out on, some of you were too crazy (for public viewing), or probably just not crazy enough! :P So one last time, Coca Cola Pepsi...
