The concept of the business is to run a multi-brand fashion store. It will connect with young fashion conscious individuals through a premium brand experience featuring the best selection of authentic, elegant, and inspiring products. It will put a touch on the Kuwait premier luxury fashion retailer as it is to be distinguished for its expertly edited fashion and beauty merchandise. The business is to also support "local fashion designers" who may not be able to afford to rent a full store as they can't rent a space in the store.
After going through brief and much communication with Abdul, the founder of Ruff, our goal was to handle the branding of his new fashion business from the ground up with a goal of creating a simple but effective visual image that will resonate with both the locals in Kuwait and international audience.
The first thing we do for every new project is to thoroughly go through the brief. We then communicate with the client to help us further understand the goals of the business. After going through a brief the next thing we do is research. This stage helps us to understand the market, the environment, and the competitors of the business. Next, we single out keywords that are related to the business and prepare our mood board.
We gathered that Ruff:
- is a unique kind of bird
- in the Arabic language is translated SHELF
- is an item of clothing worn around the neck in the 16th and 17th century
For the sake of this presentation, we are going to deal with "Ruff as a Bird" only.
