The hoarding for the V&A works around the idea of suspense and mystery. Since the hoarding will be erect for 3 years, the information behind the doors must vary and maintain interest in the project and the V&A. This is achieved by the hoarding being made from various doors, some which don’t open and then other doors which will open on a certain date and remain open. This will not only reveal information but make the hoarding ever changing and add colour to its otherwise white aesthetic. The aim of this is to make the changes more significantly visible so that people will be persuaded to take notice and wonder what will be revealed next.

A new door will open every fortnight on the Friday until the end date in 2016. This is when the grand door will open to reveal the new redevelopment.
