Minimalistic Type
In this project I was experimenting with text. How to combine multiple letters in a simpel design. I really like working minimalistic because I often tend to add a lot of details.
But eventually my designs went from minimalistic to something very busy. This design doesn't really work but I like to show that my design process doesn't stop after I made what I wanted to make. But if I'll come up with a new design I'll go along with it and develop my skills.
Here I tried to work with the X that is formed by combining the A and V. The V spells out the dutch word for "first name" and the A says "last name". And I tried to weave the word Xylography in between. This means "the art of making engravings on wood especially for printing" which I found kind of suitable for the design.
