The concept of 'mass': No one for everyone. Nationalism needs the support of the masses, the herds survive just like the people, although living in groups there is individualism, everyone thinks for himself and does not care about the common good.

Lack of intellectual independence: Power is exercised through ignorance, it is only in such cases that nationalism is realised. Where there is individual independence there is hardly absolute hegemony by a dictator, where there is intellectual independence there is democracy, where there is democracy there is plurality.

The bull: While in Greek mythology, Europa was violated by Zeus under the false identity of a bull, the region is subjugated by the different and multiple masks that nationalisms have skilfully worn. The past teaches, but the people do not seem to know how to learn from their mistakes.

The stain: a portal to Europe. The size of the enlarged cows becomes a gash through which to show a different surface and coexist with it. A frayed texture is realised as a metaphor for old Europe.
