The meaning of this project was to communicate a universal problem concerning ambiental issues like, for example pollution or species extinhtion. I choose to bring awareness to the amont of plastic that has contaminated our oceans.
"Find the Jellyfish"
I choose the Jellyfish because
1) - I really mistook a real one for a paper plastic when I was on a boat, and this was my inspiration for the t-shirt;
2) - I also abord the concern for the life of the sea turtles, seeing that jellyfish is one of major foods in their diet. They can't see the difference between a plastic bag or a jellyfish.
And almost millions of plastic are thrown into the ocean annually. A lot of those are microplastics (little pieces of broken-down plastic, smaller than a fingernail). This material is found all around the oceans. These particles have been found in the digestive system of more than 100 species, making it a major harm to these ea life creatures.
