Sitting in front of my TV. Violence dominates the world, the media, the news. People of Gaza still calling for help. Corrupt policies, ludicrous solutions everywhere. Hopeless innocent creations of Allah still calling for help.

 But wait............

I look closely towards the visuals of insane world. Among an eradicated city of Gaza , Fire Sparks…. Blood Pools … Broken Homes……..a family sits with smiles on their face. What makes these people smile during the chaos? It is the time of Iftar during holy month of Ramadan. With hardly any food to eat, hardly any place to sit in peace, their smiles brighter than anything present at that time…the time of Iftar.

This illustration is of the moment that caught my eye. That family teaching the rest of the world that surely our life is like month of Ramadan. Patience and gratitude in this life as if the life in this world is a small Fast, until the final call towards Allah which will be the Iftar, the Eid, the happiness…

The visual illustration of this moment shows that the spirit of month of Ramadan is free from anything happening in the physical world. Surely, the happiness of Ramadan is from the spiritual world, as  infinite as the connection of human spirit with its creator.
