Created with ink, watercolor, and gold leaf, this illustration is an unconventional self-portrait, highlighting landmarks from many of the places I've visited. Scroll down to see the process sketches that led to this finished piece!

When facing the concept of self-portraits, I began to consider what makes up a person, other than their physical form. I am very much a conglomeration of the places I have seen. Each new city has made its own mark on me. To create this piece, I first listed the places that have influenced me most. Then I matched a landmark with each location. After that, it was just a matter of adjusting the composition until I found an order that flowed well.
