Tamburet Col·lectiu is a stool created through an artistic installation. Is a project to mix design and art to create a stool collectively, in a participative art installation.

The project started with the exposition of a board made of different pieces of wood assembled. This wood surface has been painted for all the assistants at the art exhibition. At the end of the exhibit, the stool is constructed by removing their pieces in the board. People paint the complete surface of the board without knowing which pieces are used for the stool, creating a spontaneous and creative graphic for the final piece.

Therefore, we have a unique stool which becomes a piece of art. The experience serves to approach art to everyone, and promotes the participation of the society in culture.

My intention was to involve people who are attending the art exhibition to create by themselves, encouraging their participation to show that anyone has the ability to create.  Commonly, you can't touch the pieces of art in an exhibit, is a passive action. In this artistic installation, people can take a brush and paint, to create in a collective way. Obviously, children were the first to start painting.
