Quem Somos Nós?

THE PROJECT
“Who are we?” is a project that aims to develop a product line, the visual identity and a stand themed “Brazil Ethnicities”. The project was designed for kids 5 to 7 years old and has the goal of showing a little bit more about the founding people  of the Brazilian culture, in order to instigate reflexion in kids about the fact that we are the result of the mixture of so many cultures. The project revolves around 5 main ethnic groups that originated the Brazilians of today: Africans, Europeans, Indigenous, Latinos and Asians. Each of these cultures is represented by a male and a female doll, and secondary elements of each universe, such as plants, animals, tools, houses and transportation. The idea is to create, through play with these elements, a ludic way to understand the physical differences between individuals and how they are present in all of us.

OUR KITS
Each kit has elements of the cultures presented and at least one doll, and materials that allow the customization of items by the children, such as play dough, markers, and other tools.

Dolls Kit
There are 5 characters, each representing one ethnicity, plus a white doll, play dough and markers. Kids can explore their imagination building their own dolls in two ways: by switching their parts (hair, clothes and accessories) or by customization with play dough and markers.
An example of a possible mixture between dolls, exchanging their clothes and hairs.

Basic Kit
This kit is for kids who like play dough! With a surprise doll, the main attraction in this kit is the chance
to color, mold and invent with this material. There are also five tools to help kids to mold play dough.

White Doll Kit
Besides the ethnic dolls, a white doll was developed, featureless, without hair and clothes. The idea is that the child, using play dough and markers provided in the kit, can create their own doll, mixing accessories of other characters, or even creating their own elements.

Agriculture Kit
In this kit, kids can play with dolls and learn about the origin of some basic ingredients of Brazilian food.
The kit was designed to be used with play dough. It contains one doll, an illustrated carpet, one tractor
with two options of wheels, five different types of plants, white play dough and dyes, so you can create your own color!

Accessories Kit
Accessories Kit: contains one (surprise) doll, African spear, Latina spear, bow-and-arrow, sword, samurai sword, rudder, fishing rod, rows, sail and boat.

Houses Kit
Playing house is cooler when you can choose how it should look like. Easy to color and to create different
types of roof. Kids can build their house any way they want.

Animals Kit
In this kit, the dolls get a pet! They are fluffy and cute and can be transformed into other animals using
markers and play dough. Horses become zebras, tigers become lions, and so it goes!

Stand
The stand fulfills two functions: project presentation and products sale. The space is divided into two parts: the first, called “timeline”, provides an introduction to the subject — through this timeline we show basic information about each culture and where it stands in the history of the Brazilian people. Down the hall is the question motto of the project: “Who Are We?” From there, it enters the second space stand, which provides answers to the question. This area is divided into other smaller spaces, each offering different ways to interact and play with the ambient. Finally, the stand ends with the area of product sales, where you can see all the available kits and their components, and if desired buy it. In all the developed items, from the graphics pieces to the physical products, the issue of “mixture” is emphasized - the colors, materials, dolls, etc - and you can see, at the end of the project, the union between the three universes initially described, which gives great distinction to the project.

Icons
Each ethnic group has a girl and a boy character, with their own name and personality.
Their names start with the letter of their ethnic group: A for Africans, I for Indigenous, L for Latinos, O for Oriental and E for Europeans.
They all have a main color and a secondary from another ethnic group, not only that, the symbol from each is somewhere in their clothes or hair.
