Flowers Eyes Lips Tombs Souls
Being in a journey to finding meaning to life and to the greater purpose of it I became obsessed by the poem "Eu nu strivesc corola de minuni a lumii", by Lucian Blaga. I learned it by heart and I kept using it as a mantra whenever I felt disoriented. Not long after, the poem became an image in my head that I felt I needed to make. And so I began.
The illustration has as its theme the celebration of life: an organic intertwine of history, of love, of mystery, and of death.
The colors are closely related to the main theme - red being read both as the symbol of blood but also the symbol of the Greek thread of life, while blue and green link to the concept of natural rebirth.
