DIEGO MORATALLA → NEOPRECARIEDAD - La trampa lingüística en el tardocapitalismo
Description: In English "NEOPRECARITY - The linguistic trick in late capitalism", this print is the result of a research on neologisms emerged from neoliberalism, dominant thinking nowadays. This new language is changing our perception of relations of production, hiding precarious conditions in a personal and labour level. I made a custom typeface combining curves and pixel shapes, reflecting ambiguity in these new words which had been spread through new Internet media. Also, I made a fold-out leaflet explaining this and ready to be hung up like a poster.
Format: Custom typeface; folded leaflet — 362×594mm; looped video
Typefaces: Prexel Serif (titles) by Diego Moratalla, VG5000 (text) by Justin Bihan and Mister Pixel (symbols) by Christophe Bandani
Done for: HND project — Typography, first course (2018-2019)
Credits: Project based on a dictionary of precarity by the spanish trade union Comisiones Obreras — "Precaripedia"
