Starlight Graphic Design and Print Logo rework
Starlight Design requested that I redesign their logo to portray a more professional and modern feel that is still eye catching and works well with both screen and print in a multitude of colours.
The original logo wouldn't scale very well yet would work across different colours.
It seems that this logo was made with an online logo design site.
My first attempt: nothing great but I liked the idea of slanted text met with a slanted star however it wouldn't work well in print and scaling and a landscape logo doesn't always fare well as an ident.
My second attempt: A solid landscape logo works better however this is more of a company title rather than a logo, nothing stands out and it wouldn't be good for print due to the gradients.
My third attempt: By far my favourite one. Taking the company name and creating an image out of the two words STAR and LIGHT, I created a single-lined light bulb in the shape of a star which can be used as the company's ident and works fantastically on both screen and on print. It can be scaled perfectly and can be used without text as it is easily recognizable.
