Alter Ego

[OLD WORK] October 2012, Cross Media Design I. Design a website that introduces your Alter Ego. Show the differences between you and also show what you have in common. I created the alter ego Luna Araneae, better known as Mrs. Araneae. The spider woman. She's a dark and evil spirited woman, who loves the occult, black metal, spiders, snakes and black magic. She hates coming outside and she hates mankind even more. This in contrast to the real/normal me. I like being outdoors, listening to hippie music, always try to act nice to everyone and love normal animals such as cats, dogs and rabits. Still, there are a lot of similarities between us. For example, I had both cats, rabbits and a tarantula in the past, I listen to both heavy music and oldies and I love being outdoors as much as spending time inside behind my computer, reading a book or photoshopping random things.
The website is based on large selfportraits and a few small texts. The ones of me dressed up as Mrs. Araneae are black and white, in a dark and creepy setting, together with spiders and taxidermy items. The ones of the normal Sarah are in color, with red as a main color. Not only because people associate me with the color red thanks to my hair color, but also because there's a big contrast between black and red, just as there's a big contrast between Mrs. Araneae and myself. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the result of the website. But I got good grades (B), so I guess I should be a little more proud of thisone!
