Seven young street musicians formed „Bob's Last Shirt” in Autumn 2011 and after experimenting they're now focussing on Reggae-Rock. Somewhere around Spring 2012 they asked me for a logo because they liked my party ads. Final examination crossed my schedule but luckily I had a very loose deadline. 

The band aimed for a rolling logotype which blures the linie between typography and graphics. In addition it had to work in only one color for prints on shirts and for easy integration into other print designs. 

My idea behind the logo is that the band's name is framed by notes like crown and roots would frame a tree. The typography was drawn by hand and then traced in Illustrator. To add some contrast I decided to create a 2-coloured design which also works with only one colour. 

I created some additional mock-ups to show how versatile the design is.
