I take part as illustrator in "She did it" collaboration project created by Vydavnytstvo Publishing House. Project contains two books that include works of 100 writers and 100 illustrators.
My point was to create illustration dedicated to Varvara Khanenko, the one who cares about art collection and supports culture in various ways. Text was written by Hanna Rudyсk. I decide to use vector shapes and combine it with watercolour elements. Pieces of art made in watercolour looks more unique inside the frame of vector shapes.

About the project: "She did it" and "She also did it".
The books are written for children and adolescents, and it comprises 100 success stories of women, who have made priceless contribution sthrough out the history of Ukraine. Alongside famous personalities, such as Lesia Ukrainka and Solomiia Krushelnytska, the books also depicts stories of less known, but equally important women in the history of Ukraine. Among them there are mentioned, for example, physicist Antonina Pryhodko, biologist Helene Sparrow, and many other scientists, inventors, activists, militants, etc. Famous Ukrainian writers, journalists, bloggers and illustrators were invited for collaboration, and each of them received an individual heroine. Therefore, each story is written and illustrated in a completely unique way. Another peculiarity of this editions is the possibility to use the cover cardboard page for stenciling. Publishers are convinced that the use of the book's motto as a stencil will not only empower girls to reach their goals, but also fight the depreciation of women's contribution. The books are published with the help of National Democratic Institute and Western NISEnterprise Fund. Thanks to this support, over 1 thousand copies of the book will be delivered to schools and presented as gifts to teenage girls, who are participating in different social and civic initiatives.
