As part of our "Art Direction in Advertising" module during my course in Visual Communication design at Whistling Woods International by Priyankar Gupta we were to derive forms from nature and integrate them as branding/logos in any of the daily objects.
The form was to be derived from an insect. And the insect I had chosen was a hover fly.

I derived the following forms from these explorations:
This was the form I finalized on because of how simple and natural it looked. It also had sharp edges making easily identifiable as a lowercase "b". I then converted it digitally and further refined it.
I then integrated it into some common daily objects we use:
The integration was subtle as these are some objects we used daily.
