Form and Foundation

AIA: Form and Foundation
Form and Foundation is a consumer information publication for the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The purpose of the publication is to make available information and resources for any student or adult interested in pursuing a career as an architect. Included in the requirements,  the publication had to include a catalog of resources available for purchase and a detachable order form.

The overlying concept of my AIA publication was eco-sustainable minimalistic architecture and each building shown can be classified as such. With this in mind, I kept all elements of the design simple and clean. The colors used were influenced by those in nature, and the use of them were very limited. The paper stock used throughout is a fluorescent white Neenah Crane's Crest with a kid finish. The white of the paper helped to tie in the minimalistic style of the architecture and the texture helps to create a natural, yet somewhat sophisticated feel.
