DESIGN CHALLENGE: SKATEBOARD DECK

Adobe has partnered with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk on a challenge: to design a skateboard deck. The template guide was provided but all creative was up to you.

Here are my two submissions.
Option 1: The final piece.
I wanted to give the idea of a skateboard tower with Tony at the top, high in the air, rotating into the sky. The challenges were to create enough extra artwork for each skateboard and then render it out. The file size in Photoshop's 3D was just too big, so I took it all over to Dimension, rendered out from there, then put it all together in Photoshop. the final piece used Photoshop, Dimension and Illustrator.

Option 1: The final mock up.

Option 1: Skateboards for the tower.
Created in Illustrator. I plundered as much of my own personal work as possible and made up others from Font awesome and quotes from Tony Hawk.
Option 1: The tower in Dimension.
Option 2: The final piece.
I just wanted to do a really vibrant piece and loved the isometric look, so came up with this. As I was working on it I did start thinking "if Monument valley did skateparks". Lots of colour experiments but finally arrived at this which I'm really happy with.
