CALVARY CHAPEL DOCKLANDS
Logo Design
Logo redesign for a church based in The City of London. The brief was very open, they originally didn't have a brand at all. I wanted to create something that showed the church's involvement in the community, the congregational community and also the community of the local area.
SKETCHING PROCESS
VECTORING
Design not used. I started with a typographic approach, playing with the letters. It was a little meaningless, and didn't work.
Design not used. The idea behind this was to create a first aid kit. The whole brand would be things from a first aid kit with that feel. I wanted to show how the church healed, helped and encouraged the congregation and people in the community.
Each icon can then be used for the different aspects of the Church.
Design not used. Here I simply just wanted to explore the river Thames and how it can work as a logo/iconic device.
Final example with typography
Design not used. The original icon of the church is a dove pointing down, i started to play around with the idea of using triangles to recreate it. The concept being that the church is made up of many parts, each triangle representing someone involved in the church.
Deisgn not used. My final experimentation of the dove logo.
FINAL CONCEPT
Used designs, I created icons that can be interchanged, showing the church's plant in the City.
Updated logos for the Church, more locations from central London. (with typography examples)
