DESIGN FOR SURABAYA MURAL COMMUNITY
DESIGN CONCEPT
Confetti is the design concept for this project. Confetti stands for Communal, Fascinating, Expressive, and Entertaining Space. The concept purpose is to give a surprise element to all the exhibition's visitors. The variety of shapes and color aim to reflect mural artist creativity which is very "out of the box" and unlimited.
LAYOUT
There are several area in the building, such as: retail area, exhibition area, semi-outdoor area, brainstorming space and kids mural workshop area.
RETAIL AREA
Retail area is souvenir and merchandise selling space. The design shows a strong branding atmosphere of the mural community. There are 3 main colors which based on the mural community logo such as red, grey, and black.
MURAL EXHIBITION AREA
Exhibition area shows a very expressive character and unlimited color schemes. Some of the mural display are interactive display which can attract the interaction between visitors and artworks.
Adjustable mural display. Ceiling and floor can also be used as mural display.

Create your own mural area is one of the activity in exhibition area that could gain visitor's participation.
BRAINSTORMING AREA
Brainstorming area has a playful ambiance. It aims to help the mural artist to socialize each other and share their creativity.
KIDS MURAL WORKSHOP AREA
The workshop area is a kids friendly interior. It has a cheerful theme and supported with and adjustable mural practice media.
SEMI-OUTDOOR AREA
This area is a relaxation space for all the mural artist when they need a break from work. It also supported with a very good air circulation system.
