Less than 1km from the Messara bay shoreline, withing 2 acres of olive grove, there is a one-storey stone-paved construction. Greenhouses stretch over large parts of the land in this region, which is why the construction was originally intended as a trading venue for agricultural products and materials. Private use for summer vacation, or the tourist exploitation of the property due to its location, has led to a total renovation of the construction. This study encompasses the creation of three separate small cottages that will meet the needs of their three respective owners. The aim was to break the building mass into 3 distinct volumes - as opposed to the long greenhouses scattered in the agricultural surroundings. This is achieved on the x & y axis where the external masonry "rolled" to create semi-open spaces and entrance passages, while the z axis features volumes of varying height. For a pleasant stay in the outdoor spaces, ventilation (air flow through narrow wall passages), shading (climbing plants, sheltered spaces), and cooling (white plaster on the surfaces, water tanks) conditions have been studied.   At the same time, privacy and access of different users have been key issues to address. To this end, natural elements such as water or clusters of bushes were used to spatially delimitate properties. The liquid element appears as a line on the floor, eventually pouring into the swimming pools. The herbaceous herbs develop, acting as a privacy veil and complementing the Mediterranean vegetation of this parcel of land.
