Faux Religieux and pop symmetry
This body of work consists of large scale prints (119cm x 84cm) of digital collages which are my experiments from using symmetry in order to create compelling imagery approaching in a sense what modern day religious iconography might look like. Only they are really ‘pseudo-divine’ (faux religieux) and in that way they are evidence of how symmetry is a very interesting choice of structure both in terms of visuals but also as a way of thinking/developing an argument. This series was exhibited in Teloglio Foundation of art in June 2016 as part of a larger collection of my work entitled Places.
