‘Borders' is artist Fay Wildhagens second studio album. She is reckoned from her first release as an artist with a pure and raw musicality. In her second album we could trace a more mature and confident writer and performer, a refined version the untamed first record. We wished to manifest this transformation in the design. The record is designed to build up under the notion of transformation and transitions. As a tribute to the physical format, we printed the albums opening sentence ‘There’s no borders in the sky’ together with the albums title in varnish on the cover, only visible on the vinyl-release. The typographic landscape is equal parts modern and untamed.
